Aquaponics is an alternative form of gardening in which you’re growing plants without soil. Unlike hydroponics, aquaponics combines raising fish and other aquatic wildlife with the practice of hydroponics to create an ecosystem. Bacteria turn the aquatic wildlife’s waste into nutrients for the plants, which create livable water for the fish. This cycle, with a little management from you, is an excellent and natural way of gardening.
